With consolidation or groupage, your cargo shares container space with other shipments, meaning you pay lower transport and storage costs and only for the space you use. This also reduces the risk of damage and enables faster dispatch without having to wait for a full container.
From Antwerp, a major European logistics hub, Levaco works with a global network of partners for storage, road transport and LCL consolidation, ensuring your shipment reaches its destination safely and efficiently.
As soon as the LCL container arrives in Antwerp, it is unloaded into a general cargo storage area. Your cargo is then collected and delivered to your customer by road.

Antwerp is also an excellent location for the consolidation of container loads for export. If you require a groupage service for your export shipments, we can provide you with the best possible solution available on the market.
Our partners will collect your export shipment and deliver it the following day to the consolidation warehouse. This allows you to make the most of the space in your own warehouse.

Containers
For many years now, cargo has generally been shipped in containers. Containers have made sea transport easier, as cargo is loaded directly at the shipper’s premises and unloaded at the final destination without the need for any extra work. At Levaco, we handle large volumes of containers for both import and export.
Ro-Ro
Ro-ro ships were designed to offer maximum flexibility. Containers are carried as deck cargo, whilst cars, semi-trailers and other vehicles are transported on the various intermediate decks. The ships have a tailgate at the rear through which vehicles can be loaded or unloaded.
Breakbulk
Before the rise of containerisation, not so long ago, most cargo was handled manually as general cargo. Loading and unloading cargo by hand was labour-intensive. Although the proportion of general cargo in shipping has continued to fall over recent decades, it remains an important part of the industry!
